My blog is participating in The Day the Sun Stopped Shining Blog Tour.
To find out how you can win a copy of the WTF!? Anthology, a copy of the short story The Laundress of Silver Lake, and an apocalypse mini survival pack read on...
Corrective surgery gone wrong, punk rockers abducted by aliens, zombie sharks, dead matadors, exploding ice cream factories, and dwarfs obsessed with pomegranates are just a few of the things you will find in this anthology. From the quirky to the serious to the surreal, whatever happens in these stories is bound to leave the reader wondering WTF?!
Featuring 37 original stories by A.A. Balaskovits, James S. Dorr, A.A. Garrison, Erik T. Johnson, KJ Kabza, D.C. McMillen, Douglas J. Ogurek, D. Harlan Wilson and a whole bunch of other writers who don't use initials in their pen names.
A short story from the Untreed Reads Orbits sci-fi/fantasy line. In a future world of deadly solar flares and cloned dinosaurs, an investigative journalist sets out to uncover the truth about an urban myth: the Laundress of Silver Lake. As he wanders the banks of the lake he discovers some mysteries are better left unsolved.
Just what you might need if the sun suddenly stopped shining: a flashlight, a 7-in-1 multi-function tool complete with a flat head and phillips screwdriver, a bottle opener, a knife, and an LED light, a cool silver emergency blanket, and a box of Ho Ho's.
December's Schlock Magazine is the Apocalypse issue.
My flash fiction piece Literature in Zero Gravity is in this issue, and is about a group of friends from the office who band together the day time and space decide to go on hiatus.

Leaving a comment here as well as at the Shlock Magazine site. That is a hilarious little tale you have there. Sounds like apocalyptic office life is much more fun than what I have on a normal day!

Shlock Magazine looks so cool :-) off to check it out. Thanks, Julie!
Nice juxtaposition (been waiting forever for the right opportunity to say that!) of simplicity with "Time slept through the lunch hour" and complexity with the question and the explanation of why it works. Great piece. ;)
Great to be on this blog tour with you Julie. Left a comment on your short story page. My email contact@michealrivers.com

It is tough to find female Horror writers who blog, but I guess thanks to your (slightly old) list, I have a good place to start. Wishing you Happiness in Horror!
